- expand contractions (they're => they are etc)
- host name = > hostname
- file name => filename
- user name = username
- man page => manpage
- run-time => runtime
- set-up => setup

- a HTTP => an HTTP
- Two spaces after a period => one space after period

Previously a build that disabled NTLM and aws-sigv4 would fail to build
since the hmac was disabled, but it is also needed for digest auth.

If curl is built with openldap support (USE_OPENLDAP=1) but does not
have also some other protocol (IMAP/SMTP/POP3) enabled that brings
in Curl_sasl_* functions, then the build will fail with undefined
references to various symbols:

This was tracked down to these functions bein used in openldap.c but
defined in curl_sasl.c and then forward in two vauth/ files to have
a guard against a set of #define configurations that was now extended
to cover also this case.
Example configuration targeted that could reproduce the problem:
curl 7.87.1-DEV () libcurl/7.87.1-DEV .... OpenLDAP/2.6.3
Protocols: file ftp ftps http https ldap ldaps

Add licensing and copyright information for all files in this repository. This
either happens in the file itself as a comment header or in the file
`.reuse/dep5`.
This commit also adds a Github workflow to check pull requests and adapts
copyright.pl to the changes.

Fix theoretical integer overflow in Curl_auth_create_plain_message.
The security impact of the overflow was discussed on hackerone. We
agreed this is more of a theoretical vulnerability, as the integer
overflow would only be triggerable on systems using 32-bits size_t with
over 4GB of available memory space for the process.

Functionally this doesn't change anything as we still use the username
for both the authorisation identity and the authentication identity.

... to make it less likely that we forget that the function actually
does case insentive compares. Also replaced several invokes of the
function with a plain strcmp when case sensitivity is not an issue (like
comparing with "-").
